THE BODY & THE GOLF SWING
This seminar will be offered in Chicago, Illinois as it's 14th stop on a national tour. The feedback from the San Diego PGA, the Minnesota PGA, the Philadelphia PGA, the Orange County PGA, South Florida, Southern Texas, Southern California and the Seattle PGA has been overwhelmingly positive...
"I think this is excellent and it is only going to make me a better teacher."
"It was eye opening...the effects of the body on the golf swing cannot be challenged. Fact not fiction!"
This course is designed to teach PGA and LPGA Professionals about the body's influence on the golf swing and the physical requirements for each phase of the swing. The Body and the Golf Swing is based on a book of the same name written by physical therapist, David Ostrow, and PGA members Dom DiJulia, Jonathan Doctor and Joe Missimer.
Topics include:
- The physical requirements for address posture, backswing motions, downswing motions, impact positions, and follow-through
- Review of many of the swing flaws that are seen as an instructor
- Identification of the body issues that contribute to the swing flaws
- How to perform physical tests that relate to the swing to more effectively diagnose the swing issue
- Understanding how swing issues are related to an individual's posture, balance, restrictions and weaknesses to help teach more effectively
- This course will include lectures, lab work and a practical at the end on the range
Upon successful completion of the course, The Body and the Golf Swing, each professional will be recognized by the local Body Balance for Performance operator as a Body Balance for Performance Certified Golf Professional. Certification also includes the benefit of preferred referrals to the professional and the ability to use the Body Balance for Performance logo in all marketing efforts.
Each attendee will receive a copy of The Body and The Golf Swing with this seminar.
